Found online from the Utah State University Extension Service. This is similar to other dry cream of ?? soup mixes. Look for other recipes that call for this mix specifically. I will post the recipe numbers here after approved.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups non-fat powdered milk
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup instant chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
2 teaspoons italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a re-closeable plastic bag.
  • Store in plastic bag or air-tight container until ready to use. It does not need too be refrigerated.
  • To substitute for 1 can of cream soup in a casserole: Combine 1/3 cup of dry mix with 1 1/4 cups cold water.
  • Cook and stir on stove top or in microwave until thickened.
  • Add thickened mixture to casserole as you would a can of soup.

2 c powdered non-fat dry milk
3/4 c cornstarch
1/4 c instant chicken bouillon (regular or low-sodium)
2 Tbsp dried onion flakes*
1 tsp basil, dried*
1 tsp thyme, dried*
1 tsp white or black pepper*

Steps:

  • 1. *You can substitute the herbs that you prefer, or wait to add them to the soup or sauce that you are making.
  • 2. Mix all the ingredients well and store in a tightly zipped Zip-Lock bag. This mix does not require refrigeration.
  • 3. If you want to gift this mix, you can use a recipe card for the gift card and include this recipe on it.
  • 4. Combine 1/3 cup of dry soup/sauce mix with 1 1/4 cups of cold water. Whisk until well blended.
  • 5. Cook and stir on stove top or in microwave until thickened. Add thickened mixture to casseroles as you would a can of soup (or just EAT it!!).
