SLOW-COOKER BARBECUE BEEF SANDWICHES

Steps:
- Trim excess fat from beef. Cut beef into 4 pieces. Place beef in 4- to 5-quart slow cooker.
- Mix remaining ingredients except buns; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 8 hours or until beef is tender.
- Remove beef to cutting board. Cut into thin slices; return to cooker.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting 20 to 30 minutes longer or until beef is hot. Fill buns with beef mixture. Note: This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer's directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.

The great thing cooking meat in a slow cooker is that the less expensive cuts of meat tenderize the best and don't dry out (which is why pulled pork is always so good in the slow cooker)! Steps:
- Combine all ingredients except rolls & slaw in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is fork tender.
- Remove beef from the slow cooker and shred with a fork.
- Skim any fat off of the liquid and add beef back into the sauce. Cook an additional 20-30 minutes.
- Serve on rolls with slaw.

- Place ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook until brown, breaking up the meat as it cooks, about 15 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Place the cooked meat, onion, garlic, celery, salt, black pepper, cider vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, and ketchup into a slow cooker, and stir to combine. Set the cooker on Low, and cook for 6 to 8 hours.

- Place roast into slow cooker. Sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Pour barbeque sauce over meat. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Remove meat from slow cooker, shred, and return to slow cooker. Cook for 1 more hour. Serve hot.

- Place beef in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add the celery, onion and green pepper. In a bowl, combine the ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, lemon juice, molasses, salt, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Pour over beef mixture.
