Neat breakfast (or dinner) meal. Quiche's are fun to make and almost everyone enjoys them. This is a great recipe! 8)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 lb breakfast sausage links
8 slices bacon
1 small onion, minced
1 sweet green pepper, minced
1 frozen deep dish pie shell
1 1/4 cups milk
2 eggs
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 1/4 cups grated cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In skillet cook the sausage links 4 or 5 minutes, until cooked through.
  • Remove sausage; drain the fat.
  • Wipe skillet then add bacon.
  • Cook until crispy; remove, leaving only 1 tablespoon of fat.
  • Sauté onion and pepper in fat for 12 minutes, until softened.
  • Crumble the bacon slices and slice the sausage links.
  • In pie shell, layer with the cheese, bacon, onion, green pepper and sausage.
  • In bowl, whisk together milk, eggs and flour.
  • Pour over layered pie.
  • Bake for 45-60 minutes until set, then cool for about 1/2 hour.

1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter
3 to 5 tablespoons ice water
FILLING:
12 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded pepper jack or Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
4 large eggs
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Combine flour and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. Gradually add 3-5 tablespoons ice water, tossing with a fork until dough holds together when pressed. Wrap and refrigerate 1 hour., Preheat oven to 450°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to an 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim crust to 1/2 in. beyond rim of plate; flute edge. Line unpricked crust with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Bake 5 minutes; remove foil. Bake 5 minutes longer; remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Reduce heat to 375°., Sprinkle bacon, cheeses and onion over crust. Beat remaining ingredients until blended; pour over top. Bake until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, 30-35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

2 cans (12 ounces each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
6 uncooked breakfast sausage links, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
3 large eggs
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) finely shredded cheddar cheese, divided
5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Split each biscuit into 2 layers; press each layer into an ungreased miniature muffin cup., In a large skillet, cook sausage, onion, mushrooms and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain., In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and cream until smooth. Beat in eggs. Fold in 3/4 cup cheddar cheese and the sausage mixture. Spoon 1 tablespoon into each cup. Sprinkle with bacon and remaining cheese. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon flour
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups whole milk (or half and half)
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
1 pie crust, 9-inch deep dish, unbaked

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl, toss cheese with flour. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk. Add bacon, sausage and cheese mixture, mixing well. Pour egg mixture into unbaked piecrust.
  • Bake until eggs are set and a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the quiche comes out clean, approximately 1 hour.
  • Let cool slightly, serve warm.

3 cups Southern-style hash brown potatoes, thawed
6 tablespoons butter, melted
½ cup heavy cream
3 large eggs
1 pinch cayenne pepper
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 medium roasted red pepper, diced
5 slices precooked bacon, chopped
½ (3 ounce) andouille sausage, diced
½ cup shredded smoked Gouda cheese
½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Mix hash brown potatoes and melted butter together in a bowl. Press mixture into a 9-inch glass pie pan to form a crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  • Whisk cream, eggs, cayenne, salt, and pepper together in a bowl; let warm up to room temperature while the crust cooks.
  • Remove crust from the oven and lower heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Add red pepper, bacon, and sausage to the cooled crust. Sprinkle Gouda and Cheddar cheeses over top, then pour in egg mixture.
