RUM SLUSH
This is so yummy! I can remember as a young teenager sneaking into the back freezer and getting some of this, but only a little at a time! My parents thought they hid it well in the large freezer, but I was always determined to find it. (Cooking time is freezing time)(Serving is approximately)

- mix water and sugar.
- simmer till sugar is melted.
- let cool.
- mix OJ, lemonade, and rum with sugar water.
- put in freezer for about 4 hours until slushy.
- put 2 tablespoons in a glass.
- fill glass with sprite and grenadine.
- OR put slush in glass and eat with a spoon.

- Puree kiwi fruit in blender. Place strainer over small bowl. With back of spoon, press fruit through strainer to remove seeds.
- In same blender container, mix fruit puree, 12 oz. carbonated beverage, margarita mix concentrate and rum; cover and blend at low speed until mixed. Pour into nonmetal container. Cover; freeze at least 24 hours or until firm.
- For each serving, spoon 1/3 cup slush mixture into glass; add 2/3 cup carbonated beverage. Or spoon slush mixture into large punch bowl; add 2 liters carbonated beverage. Stir gently. Garnish glasses or punch bowl with lime slices.

- Combine water, sugar, and tea bags in a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; let tea steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags.
- Stir frozen lemonade and frozen orange into the saucepan until completely dissolved. Mix in brandy.
- Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the tea mixture into each serving glass. Top up glasses with ginger ale.

- Cut rind off watermelon and discard. Cut fruit into 1/2-inch pieces. If you want to have garnish for your drinks, salvage some wedges of rind with fruit attached before chopping up the rest.
- Line a 10-15-inch pan with plastic wrap. Arrange fruit on wrap in a single layer. Freeze until firm, 1-2 hours. If making this ahead, transfer frozen chunks to a freezer bag.
- In a blender, combine half the pineapple juice, rum and lemon juice. Whirl, gradually dropping in half the frozen watermelon chunks, until smoothly pureed. Sweeten to taste with sugar and pour into a pitcher or directly into glasses. Repeat to make a second batch.

- Combine the cherries and the limeade concentrate in a blender and process until smooth. Pour the mixture into a large plastic pitcher and add the orange juice concentrate, the pink lemonade concentrate, the rum and ginger ale or club soda. Stir to dissolve the concentrate and blend well. Cover and put in the freezer for at least 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
