Number Of Ingredients 5

1-pound of almonds slivered (4 cups)
1-pound of walnuts, ground
1-pound of butter (softened)
1-pound of chocolate bar (shredded)
2 cups of sugar

Steps:

  • Using jelly roll, spray or butter bottom. Spread 1/2 of ground walnuts inside jelly roll and 1/2 of shredded chocolate. Set aside the other half of chocolate and nuts for later. In a saucepan, melt butter with 2 cups sugar stir until boil constantly for 5 minutes medium heat. Add 4 cups of slivered almonds into butter/sugar, stir until candy thermometer reads 300 degrees (hard crack). Constantly stirring. Spread over the chocolate nuts in jelly roll, spread remaining chocolate, then remaining walnuts and pat down. Use a pizza cutter to slice into while warm then let cool.
