VIRGINIA SPOON BREAD image

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups water
1 egg
1 pkg. Jiffy Corn Muffin mix
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Steps:

  • Melt butter in the salted water, add the meal and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and set aside. Beat the egg and milk together then combine all the ingredients, mixing well. Pour into a greased quart casserole and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve hot with lots of butter. Serves 5
