Verna's Tea Cakes image

This is a simple and delicious recipe that I have made for many years. My family loves them and they are delicious with tea or coffee or milk

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c butter, cold
2 c white sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 c self rising flour
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground

Steps:

  • 1. Cream the butter and sugar by beating together.
  • 2. Add the flour a little at a time and then the eggs that are slightly beaten.
  • 3. Mix in the flavoring and the cinnamon and drop by teaspoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
