TURKEY BURGERS OR MEATBALLS image

Yield 4-6 servings

1 lb. ground turkey meat
1 1/2 cup yellow or red onion-diced
2-3 cloves garlic-minced
½ large carrot-diced
1 stalk celery-diced
½ cup mushrooms-diced
1 large egg
¼ cup chicken stock
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Chop all the vegetables as instructed. For faster results use a food processor. Combine the onion, garlic, carrot, celery and mushrooms with the ground turkey meat. S&P to taste. Add the egg and the chicken stock to the meat mixture, and continue to combine. (Add breadcrumbs, if used). Score the meat into quarters for patties or roll into meatballs sized with a tablespoon. Can make up to 4-6 patties, or 10-12 meatballs. For Meatballs: Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place all pre-rolled meatballs in an oven proof sauté pan. Once oven is preheated bake for about 20 minutes. For Burgers: Cook on medium heat about 5-6 minutes on each side.
