Traditional Macaroni & Cheese image

This is the closest to Stouffer's Mac & Cheese that I've found. I love their mac and cheese!

Number Of Ingredients 9

8 ounce(s) elbow macaroni, cooked
2 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon(s) white pepper
1 can(s) evaporated milk
1 cup(s) water
2 tablespoon(s) margarine or butter
2 cup(s) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 quart casserole dish or 11x9 inch pan.
  • Add cornstarch, slat, mustard and pepper in a medium saucepan. Stir in evaporated milk, water and margarine. Cook over medium-high heat, until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese until melted. Add macaroni; mix well. Pour into casserole dish, top with remaining cheese and bake 20-25 minutes until light brown on top.
