The Brigittine Monks' Fudge Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 1/2 c. sugar
13 oz. evaporated milk
9 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
9 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips
7 oz. marshmallow cream
1/2 lb. of butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Bring sugar and milk to a boil, cook exactly 6 minutes over medium heat. Remove from stove and add remaining ingredients. Beat mixture until firm. Pour into a buttered 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Cool to room temperature. Store overnight in refrigerator. "Make sure that you watch and stir the boiled mixture constantly so that it doesn't scorch."
