I love Thai Cuisine. Whenever I'm craving Thai food and don't feel like going out to eat and want to make something quick and easy, I make this delicious salad. I always keep my pantry well stocked with all types of spices, herbs, condiments and staple items. All I have to do is marinate the steak, grill, make the salad and...

Number Of Ingredients 21

1 lb sirloin steak
1 Tbsp lemon grass, chopped
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 c soy sauce, low sodium
1 Tbsp garlic powder, roasted
THAI DRESSING
1/4 c fish sauce, low sodium
1/4 c soy sauce, low sodium
3 Tbsp lime juice, fresh
1/4 water
2 lemon grass, chopped
1 tsp roasted rice powder
1 tsp roasted garlic gowder
2 Tbsp splendar
1 medium habanero pepper, chopped
SALAD
1 romaine lettuce, chopped
1 small english cucumber, sliced
1/2 pt grape tomatoes, sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
basil, mint, cilantro, fresh & julienned (several leaves)

Steps:

  • 1. Marinate steak for 30 mintes up to an hour with the next 4 ingredients.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl combine all thai dressing ingredients and chill.
  • 3. Spray grill grates with oil. On a mediun high grill, cook steaks to internal temperature reaches 135 degrees or until preferred doneness. Turn once during grilling. Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes. Thinlly slice steak against the grain.
  • 4. Mix salad add steak, basil, mint, cilantro. Drizzle with thai dressing.
