Sharpen your senses with this fun Taste the Difference experiment! Play with lemonade drink mix and lemon juice to see if you can taste the difference between different ingredient ratios. Kitchen chemistry has never been so tasty!

2 Pitchers
1 container of COUNTRY TIME Lemonade Flavor Drink Mix
2 quarts of water
½ lemon- juiced or ¼ cup prepared lemon juice
3 disposable cups per volunteer- need to be non-see-through

Steps:

  • Prepare 2 quarts of COUNTRY TIME according to package directions.
  • Pour ½ the Lemonade into a separate pitcher and add ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice to it.
  • For each volunteer prepare 3 disposable drinking cups. Write the letter "O" on the bottom of 2 of the cups and the letter "L" on the bottom of the third cup.
  • Fill the "O" cups with the original lemonade and the "L" cup with the extra lemon lemonade.
  • Move the cups around to mix them up and ask your volunteer to pick out the sample that is different.
  • Record the response of correct or incorrect.
