Taco Hot Dish image

You want to make sure not to over cook this dish. Otherwise the crescent roll bottom will burn. The best time to take it out of the oven is when the cheese becomes a nice golden brown.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can(s) crescent rolls
1 small pkg taco seasoned chips or crushed corn chips
1 lb lean hamburger
1 medium onion chopped
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1/2 c water
1 can(s) sliced black olives
4 c shredded coby jack cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly grease a 9 x 12 pan, then roll out crescent rolls into pan, pressing until it covers the bottom
  • 2. Press about half of the chips into the crescent dough and set aside
  • 3. Pre-heat oven at 350 Degrees F
  • 4. Cook hamburger, onions and olives then drain off fat and add taco seasoning and water. Continue to cook until water is absorbed
  • 5. Top with cheese and remaining chips
  • 6. Put into oven and bake for about 25 - 35 minutes
