Pinto beans was one of my favorites growing up. My hubby loves to crumble cornbread in his. This was one of JAP's "this could be you" recipes that I adopted. I tweeked it quite a bit to my liking. I hope that you will give this a try. Cooking with Passion, sw :)

Steps:
- 1. Soak beans for 6-8 hours. Fill 5 quart crock pot with water & beer. Add ham hocks, onion, garlic & ham base. Cover & cook on high for 2 hours. Meat should be tender
- 2. Add beans and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook for 5 additional hours on low heat. Serve with cornbread. Yummy eats!!!
