I am designated by my family to bring this every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. I love to see their faces and hear all the oou's and ahh's when they take their first bite. There is no need for sweet potato pie because this is more like a dessert than a vegetable side.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 400F. Peel sweet potatoes and cut into chunks. Boil potatoes until softened then drain.
- 2. Add 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and milk. Beat with mixer until blended. Put mixture in a buttered casserole or baking dish. Set aside.
- 3. Make Topping: 1 cup of brown sugar. Sprinkle this on top of the sweet potatoes. Bake for 20 minutes.
- 4. Add marshmallows and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until tops are lightly toasted.
