Sweet Pepper and Cream Cheese Appetizer image

The sweet and sour combination in this delicious appetizer ensures a delicious treat for houseguests! This recipe makes a lot and can be cut in half for smaller crowds.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb cream cheese
2 (16 ounce) bags frozen mixed peppers
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar

Steps:

  • Put peppers in colander and sprinkle with salt.
  • Let set 1 hour.
  • Rinse.
  • Put all ingredients except cheese in large saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer 1 hour.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool.
  • Spoon pepper mixture over cream cheese and serve with crackers or breadsticks.
