Sweeper Steak image

A variation on Swiss Steak. Great for dinner after Curling.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 ½ pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
½ cup diced onion

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 quart casserole dish or larger with sesame oil.
  • Place the beef, cream of mushroom soup, soup mix and onion into the prepared baking dish and stir to blend.
  • Cover and cook for 1 hour, or until meat is tender.
