SUPER-SOFT DOUBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES image

Yield Makes 2 dozen cookies

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups flour (all-purpose or pastry)
1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup butter
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Nuts (macademia? walnuts?), optional

Steps:

  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and any additional spices in a bowl. In a separate bowl, cream sugar, eggs, vanilla, and butter. Sift dry ingredients into butter mixture. Mix in chocolate chips and/or nuts and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.
