Succulent Roast Beef image

3 lb beef chuck roast boneless
2 c dry red wine divided
2 c beef broth divided
1 pkg knorr beef bouillon
3 Tbsp butter
6 clove garlic minced

Steps:

  • 1. Marinate the beef overnight in one cup red wine, one cup beef broth, and garlic cloves.
  • 2. Preheat oven 450 degrees. Place roast in roaster pan with marinate and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 275 degrees cover with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  • 3. Remove roast from drippings. Place dripping in sauce pan adding the other cup of red wine and beef broth. Add beef bouillon. Bring to a boil and reduce by half. Stir in butter and serve over meat.
