Stuffed Sourdough Bread image

Easy, full of flavor and guaranteed to disappear quickly. You'll wish you made two!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
1 lb pepper jack cheese - shredded
1/2 c butter, melted (no substitute)
1/2 c green onions - finely chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp poppyseeds

Steps:

  • 1. Cut bread loaf lengthwise and crosswise into 1" squares without cutting completely through the bottom crust.
  • 2. Insert shredded cheese between cut bread squares
  • 3. Combine butter, green onions, garlic and poppy seeds; drizzle over the bread and cheese evenly.
  • 4. Wrap bread in foil; place on cookie sheet
  • 5. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
  • 6. Serve warm, pull apart to eat.
