Steps:
- preheat oven 400 degrees Combine sugar, flour, salt and nutmeg in a large bowl. Add fruit to dry ingredients and mix well, let stand 20 minutes. Place fruit mixture in prepared pie plate, dot top with butter and place pie pastry on top, making sure to put slits in the top pastry to alow for pie to cook with out exploding. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until done.
