Strawberry-Orange Lush image

Packaged angel food cake gets a serious upgrade when you layer it with pudding, strawberries and orange zest.

1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
3/4 cup cold milk
2 tsp. zest and 1/4 cup juice from 1 navel orange
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1 pkg. (10 oz.) angel food cake, cut horizontally into 3 layers
2 Tbsp. strawberry preserves
5 strawberries, cut in half

Steps:

  • Beat pudding mix, milk, orange zest and juice in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in half the COOL WHIP. Refrigerate 5 min. or until thickened.
  • Stack cake layers on plate, spreading pudding mixture between layers. Frost cake with remaining COOL WHIP.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour. Microwave preserves in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 15 to 30 sec. or just until warmed; stir. Drizzle over cake. Top with strawberries.
