STRAWBERRY NUT SALAD image

2 PACKAGES STRAWBERRY JELLO
1 CUP BOILING WATER
2 10 OZ. PACKAGES FROZEN STRAWBERRIES, THAWED
1 LB. 4 OZ. CAN CRUSHED PINEAPPLE, DRAINED
3 MEDIUM BANANAS, MASHED
1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
1 PINT SOUR CREAM

Steps:

  • COMBINE JELLO WITH BOILING WATER, STIRRING UNTIL JELLO IS DISSOLVED. FOLD IN STRAWBERRIES WITH JUICE, PINEAPPLE, BANANAS AND NUTS. POUR HALF OF STRAWBERRY MIXTURE INTO 12 X 9 DISH. REFRIGERATE UNTIL FIRM. THEN, SPREAD TOP WITH SOUR CREAM AND GENTLY SPOON ON AND SPREAD THE REST OF THE STRAWBERY MIXTURE. REFRIGERATE. CUT INTO SQUARES AND SERVE ON LETTUCE LEAF.
