Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 stick butter melted
1 c milk, whole
1 large egg at room temp
1 c sugar
1 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
32 oz fresh strawberries (washed and green cut off)
4 oz regular cream cheese (cut into small pieces)
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven 360 degrees. Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch Pyrex glass baking dish while oven pre-heats. In a small bowl mix together the egg, milk, flour, vanilla extract, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour batter directly into the butter in the baking dish, but DO NOT STIR at all.
  • 2. Add the strawberries, arranging in a single layer as much as possible. Place cream cheese pieces all around the strawberries. Sprinkle 2 TBS sugar on top of strawberries.
  • 3. Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown and edges are bubbling. The crust rises up and around the fruit, but the strawberries will still pop a little out of top. ~Enjoy!!~
