Strawberry Brownies image

Combine two classic flavors in one dish with Strawberry Brownies. Strawberry Brownies get their added richness from a topping that's sure to please.

3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. MAXWELL HOUSE Instant Coffee
3 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Combine flour and baking powder. Microwave butter, coffee and 10 oz. chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add brown sugar and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour mixture. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely.
  • Microwave remaining chocolate in medium microwaveable bowl 1 min.; stir until completely melted. Add cream cheese; beat with mixer until blended. Add jam and powdered sugar; mix well. Spread over brownie. Refrigerate 1 hour or until topping is firm before cutting into bars.
