Stir-Fried Peppers and Snow Peas image

One of the vegetables I have success with in the garden are bell peppers. This is to help use some of them up!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
1 tablespoon(s) light sesame oil
2 medium yellow bell peppers, cut into julienne strips
2 medium red bell peppers, cut into julienne strips
12 ounce(s) fresh snow pea pods
1 1/2 tablespoon(s) sake
8 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
SPICY GARLIC SAUCE
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) sugar
3 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
2 teaspoon(s) light sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon(s) chili paste

Steps:

  • Pour 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon sesame oil around the top of a preheated wok or large skillet, coating the sides; heat at medium high (375º) for 2 minutes.
  • Add the peppers and snow peas, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the sake, and stir-fry 1 minute. Add the green onions and Spicy Garlic Dressing. Stir fry for 45 seconds. Serve immediately.
  • For the Spicy Garlic Dressing: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; stir well.
