STEEL CUT OATMEAL (CROCK POT METHOD) image

Number Of Ingredients 8

Steel cut Oatmeal (also known as Irish or Scottish Oats)
3 1\2 cups water
1 cup skim milk
1 t vanilla
1 t Salt
1 cinnamon stick
1/4t. nutmeg
1/8t. Powdered ginger

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in crock pot and stir. Set for at least 8 hours or low. When done, the oatmeal will have a creamy texture. Stir well and serve. Sweeten to taste with raisins (suggest soaking raisins before adding), fruit, raw sugar, or maple syrup. Nuts are great additions too.
