Spicy Beef and Bean Pie image

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 lb ground beef
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 can(s) soup, bean and bacon
16 oz picante sauce
1/4 c cornstarch
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 can(s) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can(s) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 c green onions, chopped
2 refrigerated pie crust
1 can(s) olives, drained

Steps:

  • 1. In a skillet, cook beef and garlic until beef is browned; drain.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine soup, 1 cup of picante sauce, cornstarch, parsley, paprika, salt and pepper; mix well.
  • 3. Fold in beans, 1 1/4 cups of cheese, 1/2 cup onions and the beef mixture.
  • 4. Line pie plate with bottom pastry; fill with bean mixture. Top with remaining pastry; seal and flute edges.
  • 5. Cut slits in the top crust.
  • 6. Bake at 425 for 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 7. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
  • 8. Garnish with sour cream, olives and remaining picante sauce, cheese and onions.
