This delightful syrup can be use in a wide variety of ways, from pancakes to pork chops to ice cream. I also included the option of adding Dark Spiced Rum. Enjoy! I recommend to garnish with additional cubed fresh pineapple!

Steps:
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan. Optionally add two tablespoons of dark spiced rum. Cook on high for 1 minute, then lower heat to low.
- Stirring occasionally, cook for 10 minutes.
- Pour into a bowl and puree with an immersion blender. Or, use a food processor or blender.
- Return to saucepan and cook for an additional 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve warm.
