Southwest Chili Mac image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tsp. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3/4 cup whole grain elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 jar (16 oz.) TACO BELL® Thick & Chunky Mild Salsa
1-1/2 cups water
1 can (15-1/2 oz.) black beans, rinsed
1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, rinsed
1 cup KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oil in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onions and peppers; cook 4 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • Add macaroni, salsa and water; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally. Add beans; cook 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently.
  • Serve topped with cheese.
