Sour Cream Pound Cake image

Perfectly moist and delicately sweet, this is the ideal pairing for a steamy cup of coffee. Serve as is, or top with berries for an extra special touch!

3 c sugar
1/2 c vegetable shortening
1 c margarine or butter
5 eggs
1 c sour cream
3 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp butter flavoring

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat overn to 325.
  • 2. Cream sugar with shortening and margarine.
  • 3. Beat in eggs and then sour cream.
  • 4. Combine flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk.
  • 5. Stir in vanilla and flavorings.
  • 6. Bake for 1-1/2 hours in a well-greased tube pan.
