Soft Ginger Puffs image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup(s) butter, softened
3/4 cup(s) sugar
3 - eggs
1 cup(s) molasses
1 cup(s) sour cream
3 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
2 teaspoon(s) ground ginger
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) each ground allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg
1 1/2 cup(s) raisins
1 1/2 cup(s) chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in molasses and sour cream. Combine the flour, ginger, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in raisins and walnuts.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls 1 inch apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.
