Snappy Glazed Meatballs image

An appetizer that takes very little time to prepare and cook. They don't last long, so you might want to double the recipe! This recipe was adapted from the New Pillsbury Family Cookbook

Yield 16-24 meatballs

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb lean ground beef
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
10 ounces chili sauce
2/3 cup grape jelly

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, salt and egg. Shape into 1-inch balls. At this point you can brown first, but it's not necessary. Be sure to drain any excess fat.
  • In frying pan combine meatballs and remaining ingredients; simmer 20 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
