Slow Cooked Pulled Pork image

I can not go to a tailgating party without a tray of this! Easy,because you throw everything in the crock pot and let it slow cook all day.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
4 lbs boneless pork shoulder or 4 lbs pork, picnic
12 sandwich buns

Steps:

  • In a 4 1/2 to 6 quart slow cooker pot, stir in all ingredients accept pork until combined.
  • Cut pork into four pieces add pork to sauce and cover well.
  • Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until pork is very tender.
  • Transfer pork to a large bowl or cutting board. Set slow cooker to high and cover. Heat sauce to boiling to thicken and reduce slightly.
  • While sauce boils, with two forks, pull pork into shreds.
  • Add pork back into pot and cover with sauce.
  • Spoon into rolls and enjoy!
