Skinny Double Chocolate Banana Bread image

The original recipe I found in Cooking Light Magazine. It was a chocolate swirl bread. I made it even lower fat. I Made it in to double chocolate, and used Splenda sugar blend instead of sugar. Number Of Ingredients 15

2 c all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter melted
3 Tbsp apple sauce
1/4 c skim milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c mashed banana
1/2 c chocolate chips
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c chopped walnut's optional
1/2 c splenda sugar blend,or 1 cup of granulated sugar
1 egg
1 egg white

Steps:

  • 1. mash bananas,and set aside
  • 2. measure the flour,baking soda,baking powder,cocoa powder, and salt in to bowl.
  • 3. melt butter in a bowl. Add the Apple sauce,and Splenda blend. Whisk until combined well. Add the applesauce,banana,milk,and eggs.Whisk all together.
  • 4. Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture. Whisk well . Add the vanilla,nuts and chocolate chips. Stir in to combine.
  • 5. pour in to Canola Sprayed loaf pan. Bake at 350 degree's for 45 Minutes, or until pick comes out clean.
