The ideas for this easy make-ahead recipe came my friend Sharon, a homeschooling mom with 2 teen boys and a 12-yr-old daughter. She's always looking for easy meal prep ideas. This method lets you stock your freezer with ground beef crumbles. After that, go wild with already-cooked crumbles that you can use in tacos, sloppy Joes, hamburger casserole, etc. Note: Time and amount are approximate. Today I have about 7.5 lbs of burger crammed into my largest crockpot.

Steps:
- Remove ground beef from package and loosely crumble into crockpot. (I use food handler gloves for this step.).
- Turn crockpot to low.
- You can stir the crock during cooking if you want to.
- Seven hours later (depending on crock), drain burger drippings into a grease jar. You can rinse the burger crumbles and crumble them smaller after they've been drained.
- Let burger cool.
- Package into ziplocks for the freezer.
