Sausage Mac Supper image

A quick week night dinner.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 lb smoked kielbasa (or polish sausage), sliced 1/4-inch thick
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 c celery, chopped
1/4 c green bell pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp butter
1 8-oz can(s) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp pepper
2 c cooked elbow macaroni
1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet, brown sausage over medium heat; remove and keep warm.
  • 2. Drain drippings. In the same skillet, saute the onion, celery and green pepper in butter until tender.
  • 3. Add the tomato sauce, chili powder and pepper; mix well.
  • 4. Stir in macaroni and sausage; heat through.
  • 5. Sprinkle with cheese; cook until cheese is melted.
