SALTED CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE image

This decadent recipe comes from kraftrecipes.com, as does the photo. If you don't like the salted version, just leave the salt off. 12-27-15

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 9" refrigerated pie crust
2 tsp all purpose flour, divided
3 eggs
1 c light corn syrup
1 c sugar
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c pecan halves
2 oz semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/2 tsp coarse sea salt

Steps:

  • 1. Roll out pie crust and sprinkle with half the flour; turn, sprinkle with remaining flour. Press firmly into bottom and up sides of 9-inch pie plate; flute edge.
  • 2. Whisk next 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in nuts; pour into crust and sprinkle with the chocolate.
  • 3. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 350º and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes or until top is puffed and lightly browned.
  • 4. Cool completely and sprinkle with salt after 15 minutes.
