Steps:
- 1. In 12-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot butter, cook onions and green peppers until tender. Remove to platter. 2. Meanwhile, in bowl, mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Shape mixture into four 1/2-inch patties. 3. In same skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties about 5 min for medium rare or until desired doneness, turning once. Arrange patties on platter with onions and peppers. 4. Into droppings in skillet over medium heat, stir flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt; cook 1 min. Add water, catsup, sherry, and soy sauce; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens slightly; pour sauce over patties.
