SAGE PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES AND ONION image

Yield four servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 bone-in pork chops - 4-6 oz each
salt
pepper
4 tsp fresh sage finely minced or 2 tsp dried sage leaves crushed
4 tablespoons oil - divided
4 medium apples cored, peeled and sliced (Granny Smith or other tart apple)
1 large yellow onion peeled and sliced

Steps:

  • Core, peel, and slice apples and onion - set aside. Sprinkle salt, pepper and sage on both sides of chops. Brown in 2 tablespoons hot oil about 4 minutes on each side. Remove to plate and keep warm. Add other two tablespoons of oil to skillet and add sliced apples and onion. Saute over medium heat until apples are beginning to soften but are still firm. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add pork chops back to skillet, cover, and cook chops, apples and onion over medium heat until pork chops are cooked through and no longer pink. Serve chops topped with apples and onion. Delicious and easy. Prep time 10 minutes - cook time 25
