Number Of Ingredients 13

1 egg, beaten
2/3 C milk
1 Tbsp Wichestershire sauce
1 C crushed saltines
1/4 C finely chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp rubbed sage
1/4 tsp pepper
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 C ketchup
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • In large bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Crumble beef on top and mix well. Pat into desired size pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes. Meanwhile, combine ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and nutmeg. Spread the sauce on top at 50 minutes. Cook an additional 15-20 minutes. Meat thermometer will be at 160 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes and slice. One large meatloaf is 6 servings.
