RICE PILAF WITH PEAS RECIPE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups Chicken Stock
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Black Pepper, Ground
1/4 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup Jasmine rice
1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onion; simmer slowly and stir 10 minutes or until no longer acidic and sweet. Add stock, peas and seasonings. Bring to boil. Stir in rice and simmer 10-15 minutes until rice is soft and stock is completely adsorbed. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in almonds and serve.
