Restaurant Chicken Gravy image

Recipe source: unknown. This is supposed to be a copycat of chicken gravy made by cafeteria style restuarants and diners.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth
1/4-1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1/3 cup biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • In blender, combine all ingredients.
  • Blend at high speed until smooth.
  • Pour into a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, for about 4 or 5 minutes, or until the gravy is smooth and thickened.
  • Taste and add salt and pepper, if needed.
  • Serve hot.
