Steps:
- In mixer bowl with paddle attachment, mix butter and sugar on low speed; add vanilla. Once this is mixed, add flour slowly. Add salt. Mix until just combined. Press 2/3 of the dough gently into the bottom of a greased 9-inch square baking dish, working it about a quarter of an inch up the sides. Spread jam onto dough in pan, stopping just short of the edges. Put remaining 1/3 of dough into a bowl. Add granola and almonds and pinch it all together with your hands. Crumble pinches of this mixture on top of the jam; don't worry if not everything is covered. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
