Pork Chops over Rice image

To help reduce clean up, I find it easier to brown pork chops on the side burner on the grill outside. This will reduce the amount of oily cleanup on the stove.

Number Of Ingredients 9

8 boneless pork chops
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 c uncooked long grain rice
1 can(s) 14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
1/2 c water
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen peas
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried thyme

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown pork chops in oil; remove. Drain.
  • 2. Add remaining ingredients to skillet. Place the pork chops over the rice mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender.
