POPPY SEED ALMOND COOKIES image

Yield 36 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 C sugar
1/3 C margarine, softened
2 T light colored corn syrup
1-1/2 t almond extract
1 egg
1 egg white
2-1/4 C all purpose flour
2 T poppy seeds
1 t baking soda
Veg cooking spray

Steps:

  • Cream sugar and margarine at med speed until fluffy (about 3 min). Add corn syrup, extract, egg, egg white; beat well. Combine flour, poppy seed and baking soda; stir. Add to creamed mixture, beating well. Drop dough by T onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 10 min or until lightly browned; let cool on pans 1 min. Remove from pans, and let cool completely on wire racks.
