PINEAPPLE DREAM CAKE image

This is one of my 'throw-togethers' for church fellowship.

Number Of Ingredients 12

FOR THE CAKE:
1 box butter recipe cake mix
2 large eggs
1/3 c cooking oil
1 c sour cream
1 large banana
1 can(s) (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, with juice (do not drain)
FOR THE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE:
4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
4 Tbsp butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 cake pan.
  • 2. In a large bowl, mash the banana. Add the eggs, oil, sour cream, and dry cake mix. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the undrained pineapple, and blend well. Pour batter into cake pan, and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • 3. While the cake is baking, make your cream cheese glaze..
  • 4. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla in medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat until smooth. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven. Then spread the glaze on top of cake while it is still has some warmth.
