Peanut Butter Fudge image

My family begs me to make this every year and everyone loves it.

1/2 c butter
5 c sugar
1 can(s) 12oz can evaporated milk
1 jar(s) 18oz jar creamy peanut butter
1 jar(s) 7oz jar marshmallow cream

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a 13X9 inch pan or baking dish with butter. Set pan aside.
  • 2. Grease a large, heavy bottom dutch oven with 1/2 cup butter, leaving excess in dutch oven, add sugar and evaporated milk, and bring to a boil, stirring often, over medium heat.
  • 3. cook, stirring constantly, until a candy thermometer registers 230 (just before soft ball state). Remove from heat; add peanut butter and marshmallow cream, beating with a wooden spoon until blended.
  • 4. Work quickly, pour fudge mixture into prepared pan; cool and let stand until firm.
