Peanut Butter Cheese Fudge image

Recipe from Food Network and Paula Dean and Sons. Very rich and creamy. No one will suspect that you made this with cheese- but only use Velveeta cheese she says! And Paula knows cheese!

Provided by Pat Duran

Categories     Candies

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 lb sliced easy-melt velveeta cheese, only
1 c butter-like she would use anything else!
1 c peanut butter, creamy
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c chopped walnuts
2 lb powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly spray the bottom of a 9-inch square pan with non stick cook spray- the butter kind. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt cheese and butter together, then add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Empty powdered sugar into a large bowl and pour cheese mixture over sugar. Stir until completely mixed. Candy will be very stiff. Using your hands, remove candy from the bowl and press evenly and firmly into the pan. Because of the amount of BUTTER in this recipe, pat top of candy with a paper towel to remove any excess oil. Place pan in refrigerator until candy is firm. Cut into squares to serve.
