Peanut Butter Cake image

This cake is moist and freezes well.

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 cup(s) all purpose flour
2 cup(s) sugar
1 tsp - baking soda
1 tsp - salt
1/2 cup(s) peanut butter
1 cup(s) water
1/2 cup(s) vegetable oil
3/4 cup(s) margarine
1/2 cup(s) buttermilk
2 - eggs
1 tsp - vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt, set aside. Bring to a boil peanut butter, water, vegetable oil, and margarine. Pour this over the dry ingredients and mix. Then add buttermilk, eggs,and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into greased sheet cake pan. Bake at 350, 15 -20 minutes or until tests done.
  • Peanut Butter Frosting Bring to a boil: 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/3 cup milk 1/2 cup margarine 1 tsp. vanilla Add 1 box (1 pound) confectioners sugar, Beat with mixer until smooth, Frost cake while hot.
